This week, Atlanta soul songstress Finnli caught our attention with the official visual for her new single ‘If.’ The melancholy yet hopeful lyrics tell the story of a brokenhearted woman who is going through the pain that comes along with being let down by the one you love. But as time moves on and the sadness still continues to linger, she determined to embrace her mistakes. She sings, “stressing won’t make it better, and harbored anger leads to hate,” as she realizes even more that despite it all, there’s a blessing in every lesson.
In the newly released visual for the single, Finnli sings to three different versions of herself: One who is completely healed from heartache, the one who is struggling and the one who is depressed.
Keeping things positive, yet real and relatable, Finnli is making her way to becoming a household name. She has graced the stage to share her talent at BET’s Music Matters, and has shared stages with the likes of Babyface, Beyonce, Usher, Chris Brown, Marsha Ambrosius, Fantasia, Jazmine Sullivan and many more.
